The role
We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer to join the Engineering Team and contribute to the evolution of Equixly's autonomous offensive security platform.
In the era of AI, the specific programming language you happen to know today is no longer the bar. What matters is solid knowlege of algorithms, design patterns, system design, and the language constructs that translate across any modern stack. The internals of a specific language or framework can be learned - strong engineering should already in place.
Our platform today is built on Go and it use, REST and gRPC APIs, PostgreSQL, Redis and LLM. You will work across these technologies, but we are equally interested in engineers coming from other ecosystems who can bring strong design thinking and ramp up fast.
The focus is end-to-end ownership: designing, building, and evolving the services that power autonomous offensive security at scale.
What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain backend services that power Equixly's autonomous offensive security platform
- Develop and evolve REST and gRPC APIs, focusing on clean contracts, performance, and long-term maintainability
- Model and optimise data access layers across PostgreSQL and Redis, balancing consistency, latency, and scalability
- Collaborate with the Security Research and AI teams to integrate exploitation engines, autonomous agents, and validation pipelines into production
- Contribute to architectural decisions: service boundaries, data flows, concurrency models, and orchestration patterns
- Write code that is testable, observable, and built for change - applying clear design patterns and avoiding accidental complexity
- Contribute to the frontend layer where needed, working alongside the team to expose new platform capabilities to users
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering practices
What we are looking for
- Strong background in software engineering with solid mastery of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
- Proven experience designing and building production-grade backend services and APIs
- Good understanding of relational and key-value data stores, with a clear sense for when to use which
- Solid command of at least one strongly-typed, compiled language (Go, Rust, Java, C#, C++, or equivalent) - and the curiosity and ability to pick up Go quickly if you don't already use it
- Ability to reason about concurrency, performance, and system design beyond a single language's idioms
- Good written and spoken English
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Go
- Experience with gRPC, protobuf, and API design at scale
- Production experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, query optimisation) and Redis (caching, pub/sub, data structures)
- Frontend experience with React
- Familiarity with containerised environments, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure
- Background or interest in cybersecurity, API security, or offensive security tooling
- Contributions to open source, technical writing, or conference talks
What we offer
- A stimulating and dynamic work environment at the intersection of cybersecurity and applied AI
- The opportunity to work on a real-world autonomous offensive security platform, with direct impact on its evolution
- A team that values strong engineering fundamentals over framework trivia
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, plus company benefits
While this position is aimed at senior profiles, we strongly encourage anyone with genuine passion, curiosity, and the drive to build production-grade systems at the cutting edge of cybersecurity and AI to apply. We care deeply about talent, mindset, and motivation - not just years of experience.
